The Stunt Pilot was initially created to showcase its design characteristcs and the material it employed, known as 'Proyonium."  Today, that formula is still secret, but needless to say, it is a virtually indestructible plastic yoyo (which Playmaxx boasted quite heavily about!)  Only a few hundred were ever produced and certain colors are even more difficult to find, such as the Purple and/or Black.  A few limited editions were created including the extended propeller version and the etched 'Abejero' version.  The last generation of Stunt Pilot yoyo's incorporated the adjustable string gap (ASG) that allowed players to basically, at the twist of the sides, turn a responsive yoyo into a much less responsive yoyo.  In fact, the ASG version pioneered what we know today as the non-responsive yoyo.  Without the ASG version made by Playmaxx, the technology advances in non-responsive yoyo's may not be anywhere near what it is today.​​
